Nico was a bit rebellious growing up, and art was always his outlet. His mother was an artist, so he obviously inherited the talent, and loved it. There was a point where Nico realized he needed to grow up and do something with his life, and art was all he knew. He had always been infatuated with tattoos, so he decided to go in that direction. For the most part, Nico was self taught. He remembers making tattoo machines out of everything he could get his hands on since age 13. He really set his focus on his art. By the time he had the courage to set foot in a shop in 2010, the owner was so impressed that he handed Nico a machine, and he started taking walk ins.

Any realistic piece lands right in Nico’s comfort zone. He loves taking art straight from a photo… inanimate objects, portraits, wild life. Recently he has found himself getting more into fantasy realism with biomechanical pieces, creatures, zombies, and horror. He is inspired by tons of artists and studies their work on a daily basis. He says that he is fortunate to be working at a shop with Bill Vegas, and still tries to harness his own style. Nico achieves his amazing work with Eternal Ink, and uses Neotatt and Stigma Hyper machines. He says he is planning on switching to a Hawk in the near future.

Nico has so many pieces that he has enjoyed tattooing. “I’ve had so many great clients lately, and I’m blessed for that, being that I’ve only been tattooing over a year…” He says he is very critical of his work, and a bit of a perfectionist, so once he likes a piece, he picks it apart. Nico has yet to tattoo anyone famous, but would love to tattoo a famous artist in the industry, and would also be honored to tattoo an artist’s wife. “The list could go on for days!”
